Step‑by‑Step Process
Exactly what happens during each level of diagnostic service:
Mobile: Phone/video assessment → symptom evaluation → recommendation.
Base: Vehicle scan → fault code retrieval → reset (if safe) → verbal summary.
Deep: Full system scan → fault code digging → live-data review → Analysing → written report.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to bring my car for diagnostics, or can you do it remotely?
We offer both! Our Mobile Diagnostics is a quick remote assessment via phone or video call. While it can help determine whether you need in-shop service, it’s not as accurate as our Base or Deep Diagnostics performed at our facility.
What’s the difference between base and deep diagnostics?
Base Diagnostics covers the most critical systems (engine, transmission, ABS, airbags, etc.) and includes a basic fault scan.
Deep Diagnostics is a full-vehicle scan, including hidden faults, comfort systems, infotainment, drivetrain, and more. It includes a detailed written report with expert recommendations — ideal for complex issues, pre-purchase inspections, or advanced repair planning.
Will you reset my fault codes during the scan?
Yes, we reset codes only if it’s safe to do so and after confirming the issue is resolved or documented. In many cases, we recommend not clearing codes until repairs are completed to avoid erasing useful diagnostic data.
How long does diagnostics take?
Mobile: ~10–20 minutes
Base: ~30–60 minutes
Deep: ~1 to 4 hours (depending on vehicle, year and complexity)
Will I get a report after the diagnostic?
Yes. For Deep Diagnostics, you’ll receive a comprehensive digital report that includes fault code details, system status, and our professional recommendations. Base Diagnostics includes a summary, and Mobile Diagnostics is more of a live consultation.
Can you diagnose BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, Land Rover?
Absolutely. We specialize in premium European vehicles and use OEM-level tools like BMW ISTA, Mercedes Xentry, Porsche PIWIS, and others to ensure precision diagnostics.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes — we recommend booking your diagnostic in advance due to limited daily slots. You can use our online booking system to reserve your appointment quickly.
What happens after diagnostics?
After the diagnostic is complete, we’ll walk you through the findings. If repair or service is needed, we can provide a quote, explain next steps, and schedule follow-up work — all based on your vehicle’s specific needs.
Do you need the car here or can it be done remotely?
For accurate diagnostics, we typically need the vehicle at our facility in Arvada, CO. This allows us to connect professional-grade diagnostic tools directly to your car’s systems and perform a complete scan.
However, we also offer a Mobile Diagnostics option, which is a quick remote assessment via phone or video call. While this can help us understand the symptoms and guide you on next steps, it does not replace a full in-shop diagnostic.
If you’re unsure whether you need to bring the car in, start with our mobile assessment — we’ll let you know if an in-person visit is necessary.
